Food Fare News
Happy New Year to all! The months just keep marching by, and speaking of MARCH–it is just around the corner. The good news is that Food Fare ‘08 is in great shape. Our Silent Auction Co-Chairs have the most incredible set of trips arranged,
you’ll never need a travel agent again, just handle your travel plannnning by bidding at the Silent Auction. Marcy Pine and her restaurant committee have a record breaking 41 restaurants signed on. Vendors, Caterers, and Libations are all having banner years.
Some new things are coming together as well. The folks at Ramp Creative, the team behind our website, the incredible invitation, and this e-newsletter have also donated their design time to help us with t-shirts and tote bags. We will be selling bamboo/organic cotton blend t-shirts with water based, non-toxic inks. Even better than the earth-friendly materials are the stylish designs that RAMP developed. These are t-shirts that any Fred Segal shopper would be happy to have. They’ll sell for $25 generating a $10 profit for PPLA per t-shirt. The tote bags are much like those you can purchase at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. Stylishly designed we plan to sell the Totes for $5. Anyone who purchases items a Food Fare will receive one with their purchase. Additional bags will be available for sale. We cannnnot thank Ramp Creative enough for their assistance on these projects. Thanks too should go to PPLA’s own Sue Dunlap and Miriam Gerace who also assisted with the t-shirts and totes. Make your New Year’s Resolution to find a new friend to come to Food Fare this year.
With all good wishes,
John Connolly and Rachel Kaganoff Stern
